OK if you remember from a previous post I was building a Ken Willard Sunday Fighter well its done but the Hun version got bumped for something else. See photos. I have also started a Vintage 1938 Ryan SC-W the building thread is on that other site here:

`I like that bibe. What are the specs. Looks to be a simple build last simple bibe I did was using Ace foam wings (straight) and an K&B Sportster .20 for power. I just may have to build another foam cutting machine to make my own cores again. I've saved the auto transformer. Need to pick up an isolation transformer. An auto transformer with out an isolation transform is a bit dangerous.

The airplane is the Bristol Spadport a Ken Willard Sunday Fighter from March 1974 powered by an OS Max .10 FP. I have the The plans are on OZ and AeroFred both. It can be built in a British or German version (The Fokker (Heinschmitt). I have the German version half built and will finish it up at some point it will have a OS Max .15 FP on it. You can read all about the design in Ken Willard's own words here: https://www.airplanesandrockets.com/...march-1974.htm
I built a conventional D tube built up wing for my airplanes, the foam cores are no longer available on Ebay. There are several laser cutters now who offer a short kit to replace the Ace foam cores and one of them cut the short kit for my airplane too. I have purchased from both of these gentlemen and can recommend both of them. Links below:
The Balsa Workbench | Helpful hints for building balsa RC airplanes, by Rob Reynolds Airplane and wing short kits available.
Rob also cut two RCM Sopwith Triplane short kit at the same time for me and one was modified to hint at a DR.1 Triplane. The RCM birds use the smaller cord Mini foam cores and again he cut built up wing ribs for me to use an conventional wing. I have a pair of Enya .15 to go on the Triplanes if I ever get to them.
Laser Design Services - wing short kit available, Bob would probably cut the airplane short kits if requested.
Bob also cuts RCM plans on request so he could do the Triplane as well.

Look at what the Santa Claus in the big brown truck and uniformed showed up at my place with last night. I was thinking a Saito .72 or .80 would be a good fit. I have a friend who is going to sell a TF Sea Fury kit I have to finance the project. They go for big bucks these days. This is my last kit purchase I have planned (Famous last words). I can already hear your "Yeah, right!" comments from here. I am planning on upgrading the pants and cowling to fiberglass parts from Fiberglass Specialties. Craig does good work.

I got my order from Fiberglass Specialties last week as you can see they are a little different than the SIG plastic parts but a lot more robust than the plastic. I was thinking I might mix and match the kit pieces to get a more scale look. With my luck they will be totally incompatible. I will have to see when I get to that point of the build. The Ryan SC-W is made a little progress yesterday. I managed to shoot down an entire afternoon with one disaster after another with a net gain for the day of what normally should have taken 45 minutes to complete. In the words of outdoor write Patrick McManus it was "A Fine and Pleasant Misery"!

Fiberglass Specialties make nice parts. They should hold up well.
I got my cowel, wheel pants, and canopy for the the Andy Sheber Pitts s1s I intend to build from them. I was impressed by the quality of the parts.

I have purchased a set of Wheel pants, cowling and tailcone for a TF Cessna 182, canopy and cowling for Walt Musicano Navion, and of course the SIG STA set. The quality is always good and Craig is very up front about what needs to be done to get them paint ready. He also has a company making fairings, fenders, and the like for motorcycles. If I still road I would buy bike accessories from him too.
