I ordered one of those Russian 4X4 trucks. I'm going to paint it up as captured by the Germans, and park it next to my Panther and stug.
I have one M35 6X6 now, and one more on order, I'm building up a modern American convoy. I made a trailer, and a canvas top for the 6X6 cargo bed.
Oh, and the truck has one of those special antennas designed to jam radio signals to IED's on the front. I wired the battery to ride in the cargo bed. It's hauling a load of new tires today.

That looks very cool, but those are some pretty scary prices. But it did make me feel pretty good about asking $25 for a set of 11 3D printed tires (with rims) after seeing Ludwig wants $150 USD (130 euros) for 8 tires without rims. I'm sure his are much, much nicer than mine, but for 6 times the price they just oughta be, eh? I've always thought Ludwig has really excellent stuff, I just cringe at the amount of dough he wants for it. But, I guess it's worth it to those that buy it, and I have always been a cheap buzzard to start with.

Finally got all the electronics sorted out and tucked away. Now starts the details and painting. We really need a good source for drivers for these things. I'm not sure I'd get great quality trying to 3D print drivers, but maybe if I just printed the body and used a head from verlinden or something?

My Feedback: (1)
Been watching this thread with a lot of interest for some time now. I had ordered the GAZ 66 and had it sitting for about a year. I finally got around to starting on it and decided to keep it simple. Upgrade the motor and install a good servo for steering. Make all of the lights functional and make it look old and rusted. The pictures don;t show it, but the three marker lamps on the top also work. I am waiting on a sound module for it now and it will run off a flysky GT5 radio.

Wow Joe, it looks like it was left out in Siberia too long. Nicely done.
