Oddball was easy. The commander of the Tiger (Karl-Otto?) took a bit more thought. At first glance I thought he was Marlon Brando.

Is there a prize?

In my best Don Rickles: 'You get a cookie..."

Yep it's Karl Otto Alberty. Brando is very similar in facial structure. I'm not finished and the scar, etc aren't apparent in the photo.

Here's another shot:

You know, Jeff, I've seen you turn out some pretty cool stuff and haven't yet bought anything, but if you put Karl-Otto into production I'll definitely get one or two. In fact, believe it or not, this photo is an Imex full metal Tiger One Early, and if you do offer these for sale I'll duplicate his tank for him. Now, I'm not going to even try to recreate that monstrosity they actually used in the movie (are those T34 tracks?) but I'll make little Karl-Otto a tank as he should have had it, properly marked (I haven't even started the research, but something tells me the markings on the tank are as fake as everything else). I need to keep up the stenciling skills, or I'll lose 'em, eh? I haven't done a stencil since the Fw-190 (before Tanks) so it's about time.

I haven't seen the film in years, but I'm pretty sure it was a T-34 with a few cosmetic additions like the Feifels, etc. Very similar to the SPR version.

Nice job.

If they go into production I'd pick up a set.

Yes, hopefully soon too, but not as full figures.

These (and a bunch of others not tank related) are being done as busts for figure painters.

Thanks guys.

Buggmann, imitating things has always been easy for me, so add the right tools and some experience and it's not really hard.

They are partly sculpted, partly carved.

I'm almost finished, just some final details on the flight headcover and hair work on Karl.

Karl Otto Alberty has been is quite a few popular war movies! There's the Battle of the Bulge, the Great Escape, Kelly's Heroes, Raid on Rommel, Battle of Britain and a few others.

I wouldn't mind one for my 1/15 Tiger I that I started building to look like the number 115 tank from KH.
