CARF CT-114 Tutor 2.6m Build thread
I see there are pics of the new Tutor at http://www.carf-models.com/public_ca.../gallery1.html
It's huge at 2.6m, but should breakdown to normal car size easily. I'll see when mine arrives!

My guess would be not until April for deliveries, it should display at FJ 2010. CARF have a big meeting in Europe first weekend in May and I know they want to have it ready for sale by then, latest.

Yes, but i heared that they will concentrate on the Snowbirds in the begining of the production. The scheme I have my eyes on is one of the two that comes later

Final price will be released in the next few days, once final costings are in.
The kit is very prefabricated, another step foward for CARF. The doors are designed around Robart air rams, like the Hawk-so you don't have to change that straight away...
Behotec gear, I think the cockpit parts are included too.
Main tank and smoke tank option.
Information is still coming through, but hopefully I will see my prototype kit in the next week and the first aeroplane will be shown at FJ.
Taylor Made Decals will offer a sticker sheet like the Hawk options. The scale is 1:4.25.

The bits for my Prototype kit are starting to come through, the Complete U/C set arrived late last week, Behotec quality stuff. Intairco main wheels are huge! Grass for sure with this one. Note neat direct steering set-up.
I also emailed Ralle at Taylor Made Decals and asked for a decal set to scale up the Snowbird. Five days later they arrived, what a star!

The gear is a great choice. The Behotec C50's are really strong and reliable.
Are you expecting one of the prototypes in soon? Do you have any idea on when the production models will arrive in Europe?

Yes, kit due this week. The plan is to have kits by the 3rd CARF meeting 1st weekend in May.
Will have P160SX, JR 8711, Powerbox Competition, JR DSX-12 and 1221 Rx.
Taylor Made web site done...;-) email them and I'm sure it's easy.

It would be really nice to see some detailed pics inside and out of this plane

Sure will.
Some have said its a strange choice of subject...but plenty of people have contacted me about it! I think it will be a great flying aeroplane, big flaps, thick wing and bulky fuselage, this could be my new "fog" machine
I have run-in some JR 8711 servos and JetCat have just finished another batch of P160SX turbines, it's all coming together nicely-just need a phone call from the shipping company.
Best Regards

Friday was a good day, the Snowbird arrived, not a mark on the box, all the way from Thailand.
CARF have stepped up again, really prefabricated, mounting points for the trays seem to be in, there is a fuel tank mounting tray fitted (white) next to this a header tank mount and under is the smoke tank mount so if you order a Flash wing tank you have a ready made smoke tank mount too. There is a hatch for the rudder servo access, nose light opening cut (clear lense provided) ready cut nose access hatch, pre fitted wing mount spike nuts...probably more but I'm only just getting everything unpacked.
Big aeroplane though.

Looking GREAT!!
Love the great access to the fuse. Are there doors in the nose on both sides, or just on the right side?
More pickies please
