Not even close to being done, but in case you've been wondering how many rivets I've punched out...

Doing the first side is always easier than completing the opposite side because you're trying to mirror what you've already done.

Just in case you were wondering why the rivets on the left side of the dorsal fin are slightly ahead of the right side. It's not a mistake on my part, that's how they appear full scale.

Vince, how much riveting do you have left? You certainly added a lot so far.

Looking good but I think you need to pick up the pace and skip your nap.

Needed to have the top of the #0 x 3/16 flat head tapered sheet metal screw, flush with the top of the hatch panel.

I accomplished this by using a wood countersink bit that I spun by hand.

A few quick turns and here is the result...

It's time to complete the canopy. Job #1 is to fit my precious windscreen. If you remember, the windscreen in this kit was MIA. I acquired this replacement from Australia!

Four hours later, I was able to get the windscreen to fit after a considerable amount of careful sanding to the fiberglass canopy opening.

It's about 98% there, but it's that last 2% that will make it stand out!

Last night I worked on that last 2%. Windscreen fits now as it should. With a coat of primer on the canopy, I can tend to wet sanding and filling any irregularities that I come across...

Interesting view from the inside. I have to start thinking about what I want to cover the inside of the canopy with.

Hi Vincenet, Are you going to build a custom interior complete with upolstered seats and dash with control yokes? That would be a neat thing to build to add more realism to you airplane?

Yes Michael I going to give it a go. I'll build the instrument panel first, then go from there...

I'm surprised you had to ask, this is one of Vincent's builds.

After securing only a couple of hundred rivets, I really didn't feel like doing any more work. I learned a long time ago to stop working once I've felt that I'd had enough... What I did feel like doing however, was to secure the wing on the fuselage, step back and admire the work that I have done. Maybe not the most productive day , but it helped nourish my soul and make me think about the journey this Bonanza has taken me...
