Default Royal Models P-38 Lighting

Best example of this full built kit you will find outside a museum.
Built approx 4 years ago and never got around to flying.
All custom fiberglass parts built from molds I created.
Engine Cowls are flush mount not overlapping.
Fuse side air intakes are open to create less drag.
Gapes on all moving parts very minimal (see pic's)
Retractable landing gear with working bay doors. (sorry tires went bad, will make allowance to purchaser)
All electric (includes motors, Speed controllers, servo's and orange receiver)
Removable hatches for access to battery bays, servo and motors (see pic's)
W/S is 72"+
Motors are e-Flite 32 BL
100 amp Mystery Speed controllers
can use 4000 mah 4 or 5 cell lipo's
I created a fully sheeted foam core wing using wing former's and hot wire cutter.
Still have the parts to build a wood wing and the original box (box is in OK condition).
Comes with plans and all remaining parts and wood in kit.)

Ready for Maiden flight.

Local pick up only. Do to size it can't be shipped

Would have to build shipping crate and would cost $100's in freight fees.
If you would pay all cost I would consider

built a while back. I think about 9-10 lb. Add 2-3 lb depending on mah of batteries
Had a 71" w/s at 13 lb. flew great at my altitude (7,000 feet) at up to 90 degrees
Use all the runway on take off. Very scale. Don't flare on landing or it might lift off and stall.

This plane 74 1/4 w/s 695 sq inches so a little bigger wing.
High wing loading is a warbird trade mark.

Thanks for the info, beautiful plane! I have one NIB, and one partially started by another builder. I hope to finish them both someday soon. And I hope they look half as good as yours does! I was spooked about glassing them, thought it would just add too much weight. Royals all seem to build a little heavy, so extra weight could be a killer.
Thanks again,
Pete

This one not glassed. Just covered.
I made the cowls by creating a mold from plaster.
Did the same for the side intakes.
Wing is foam. I have the balsa wing un-built and will include.
I will build crate and ship for $250
