New and a question
Hello my name is Vincent and I live in the Netherlands and my hobby's are static modeling and rc tanks my first tank is the Torro bb king tiger pro edition and HL Pershing 27mHz. Then I bought 3 Tamiya tanks jagdpanther, Sherman and pershing.
I don't like the missing recoil in the gun of the king tiger. So I want to change that. And I want to upgrade the Torro mfu. I see that torro have also the seperate sound unit. Is that the same as the taigen? Which mfu is better the Torro or the taigen?
The KT needs a complete maintenance. The zinc gearbox are broke. The turrent rotation is 320 and I want the 360 rotation.
If I bought a new it upper hull is that incl 360 turretring?
Is there a sound of the taigen or torro sound ot tiger 2?

Welcome to the forum, Vincent. So you want barrel recoil on your King Tiger, do you want to keep it airsoft? That can be a bit tricky, but if you want to make it IR it would be an easy matter to swap the turret for an IR version. That would be easiest, if not the least expensive. If you want to build a custom recoil I would start with the new unit from Forgebear Tanks, and you should get familiar with him anyway, as he's a great vendor in the UK so shipping to you should be no problem. I will soon be doing a King Tiger (Porsche Turret) and it already has recoil (it's an IR turret) but it's the backwards Heng Long recoil so I plan to get one of these for it. Of course, I don't have to worry about BBs.

There is no difference in the Torro and Taigen sound cards. Torro and Taigen are basically the same tank, even made in the same factory. Kind of like Camaros and Firebirds, if that helps. Basiclly the same car, but different brands.
Unless you buy an upper hull and turret together with the slip ring included it won't have one. Just a separate upper hull does not come with a rotation ring. It's a very simple matter to convert the one you have, or buy one with the pocket for the slip ring for a few bucks. Forgebear should be able to hook you up with both. His name is Dave, BTW. He's a great vendor and comes highly recommended by all my buds in the UK.

You want 4:1, H/L, 58mm shaft.
You want to upgrade to a better MFU? There are several, like Clark and Elmod, but my favorite is the IBU. You can get those here, from Tankbear, also a great UK based vendor

The IBU2 has provisions for both servo operated recoil and elevation. It's a very versatile board, and I have one in a 1/6 tank and the IBU even pulls the trigger on the paintball cannon for me.
