These news make me feel it's better stick with glow engines on these small 4-strokes. Maybe do the CDI conversion.

I too use an electric starter for the same reason...

I too use an electric starter for the same reason on my Laser 300v. I actually could have used hinges and a magnet or two to enable a quick access inside the cowling (and the twin carbs) from below...

How about the tank location? I think I read in the Saito Fg60R3 manual the pump is not very effective so one should mount the tank as closed to the engine as possible like with typical glow...
