    Biography
Retired USMC Master Gunnery Sergeant (E-9 w/32 years AD). Currently last US Marine to earn Quad Body status. British Royal Marine Commando course/exchange, Ranger School, USMC Combatant Diver & Advanced Naval Parachutist & MFF (HALO for those who aren't familiar). After boot camp at MCRD PISC, earned the coveted MOS of Marine Rifleman. Then quickly into Division Recon or sometimes referred to as Battalion Recon, Force Reconnaissance, MARSOC (now Raiders). Former DI MCRD PISC, S/S & the distinctions of Combined Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (C/JSOTF-A), 1st & 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion's, Special Operations Task Force-West, Senior Enlisted Advisor Helmand, Afghanistan, and Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force–Iraq, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, OPs Chief Marine Raider Regt, Chief Instructor for Special Missions Training Branch-East, Marine Special Operations School & other boring stuff. Grew up in the Low County of SC where my dad was a Marine Aviator at MCAS Beaufort for much of my childhood. I used to hang out in the woods hunting squirrels, rabbits, deer & whatever else I thought was tasty. Did a lot of shrimping, crabbing, fishing, shooting, boating in the tributaries running in from the Atlantic near Beaufort. Used to walk in the marshes to catch frogs, turtles (A SC State Fish & Wildlife no-no), fiddlers & horseshoe crabs. Learned to dive at night when the indoor recruit water survival was open to Marines & dependents. The WSQ DI who was moonlighting there was a Recon Marine in the Fleet & got me hooked on my #1 goal of becoming a Recon Marine. Told my dad one day & he said "I could never see you being an officer like me. You have too much common sense." LOL. Now living the good life spending life with the half unit breathing that good 'ole sea air & spending time spoiling the grand babies. Everything for me is pure bliss. Absolutely grateful for the life God has given my family & me-good & bad. It's been hard but fun all the same. No trading it for anything. Can't relive the past but I love the memories & looking forward to a relaxing future after a wonderful & long career in big green machine.
