I owed the T-1 before I got a Rebel. I would NEVER recommend someone to get the T-1 over the Rebel, and I like T-One's scale stuff.

‘I don’t remember saying I like the T-1 better, just opinion are just that opinion.....I just said there’s better options.....there’s quite a few jets in this size.....unfortunately this year no events, to go too and see many different one...

If you like what ever jet buy it....there’s no better Jets then the one you own

LOL. A pound or two variance for a 2m jet is not a big deal, but seven+ pounds? That's a little ridiculous. I know the site says 23-24lbs but I have yet to see reports of weights that low. Weight matters when it comes to how well they slow down and how they act when they start to get too slow. That's just plain physics
BTW, I pay full price for my stuff, too. Heck, even more than full price, lol. I just happen to think CARF has more to offer for the money.

Put my 160 G4 in my 2M Rebel yesterday, and flew it today. What a blast it was. The 140 G2 is plenty, but the 160 was that little bit of oooooohhhhh yeah...

The T1 looks like it has a wider cord so maybe more wing area. The T1 is built like a tank and can be flown slow or hard and fast. The Rebel is labeled a light aerobatic ship and some have warned on here to not fly it too fast. I see your over powered jet videos bodywerks but have yet to see you fly your jets fast and hard. I saw a T1 flown fast and hard with a 160 in it and I wonder if you can do the same with a Rebel. Seems to me you guys are comparing two different ships.

My T-1 has pulled 9 Gs but routinely pulls over 8 Gs with no signs of stress. I don't think I fly it excessively hard but not gentle with it either.

Dang, I had a guy tell me I was flying mine hard and we looked at the telemetry and I never pulled over 5.5 Gs. I thought I was going super easy on it. (T1 Mini)

mine, at 22.5lbs, with a 170, I had to listen to my timer beep on and off the whole flight - it's set to start/stop at 1/4 throttle! But imo, it's awesome! Nothing quite like accelerated vertical!

I think the only rebel video I have out is my Pro, which is hardly overpowered - barely 1:1 at take off. And the video was a maiden flight. There only Rebel I've had long enough to fly hard is my HOT, and anyone that's seen me flying it in person can attest, I push it hard.
I'm not discounting your statement. But a Rebel with a 160 weighs less at take off weight than a T1 does dry, so it stands to reason that a sport jet at 28lbs take off weight with a 36lb thrust turbine requires throttle management.

The 160 G4 is nearly the same size and weight of the 140 G2. 1oz difference which makes my CG right on the back of the spar instead of the middle, which I am actually liking more So it is close to the same weight at take off. No I'm not using all the throttle, except until the wheels leave the ground, since this is only a temporary fix until I get my 140 back from the shop for service. 1/4 throttle most of the flight for normal flying hardly ever make it to 3/4, and still the same fuel use as the 140. But it is nice to run the 160 for a time to get used to how it spools before I put it in my BVM F-18 which won't see nearly the air time this Rebel sees.

And yes you fly that Hot extremely hard. Like Havoc hard...

So is the Rebel Hot to small for a first turbine? Gets small too fast? Lands too fast? I did price one out and it’s not a huge savings over the 2M Rebel.

only gets small fast if you fly it fast. A buddy of mine transitioned to the HOT from an hsd viper. No regrets. Heck, other than being more expensive than the viper, it's actually a better first jet. You can't go wrong with either there HOT or 2m, IMO.

I would just stick to the recommended turbine range/size and you should be fine.

It is a great flying jet, especially if you keep it light! Mine lands very slow.
