CARF REBEL 2m

Len I fly at 3400 feet above sea level so compared to a 140-142 it's only 14.5 % more thrust, and i won't fly my jets like they were stolen.
The pro recommends a 180-220, but i have a 240 in mine and yes, if I point to the sky, it's gone only my eyesight is the limiting factor.
I fly my Rebel Pro at 1/2 to 2/3 throttle very, very rarely is it opened up. In a ten and half minute flight, I burn 4.5 liter from a six liter tank and have 1.5 liter left in the tank...yes hard to believe.
My 166 needed a home in a sister Rebel 2m plane.
It's always good to have extra thrust when you need it!

My Feedback: (73)
I fly at around 3K feet and a 140 is the most i would put in this plane. ... Lets me fly it like I stole it, and landings slow down ok, but i'm using almost 90deg flaps. 90 del vertical accelerating take offs with full fuel too .. , and I rarely ever go full throttle. the plane is too delicate ( when compared to something like an Ultra Flash, or Bolt)
Just my opinion, and i'm usually one to severely over power everything and any thing 😁

Tom, you only lose telemetry if the Rex7 loses signal then the Rec3 steps seamlessly and it is only of tenths of a second.
Harry doesn't prefer clones but in noise signal-filled areas it's the best bet to maintain signal to aircraft.
Watch Jonathan's latest video of radio testing, i was here to help get the data you will be surprised.

Most pointless test ever. Completely unrelated to how stuff is used!

No one else has even done a test like this so if you can do a better test all the power to ya.
Seems we do our range test on the ground, correct, so your point is moot.
Sure makes you think which is the point of it . Every radio experienced the same test and a few dark horses did extremely well.
The Powerbox head guy asked if the video could be taken down....................... hum......guess they should have providea better Rec than what they shipped. Wait its the same protocol as the rest.....!
Back to the Rebel 2m thread..............

Questions about plumbing of tank? Tank is long and has baffle in middle 1inch hole in middle four small holes around outside for fuel to get in both baffles. So what do you do just plumb it so clunk stays in front baffle? Also do I use the felt clunk supplied the new jet at came with a bigger one in picture?

The felts pick-ups are better as they reduce the air drawn into the Map .
Think of it as a sponge so when fuel as away from it , there is fuel in the felt pickup.
Changed my Pro from metal pickup to felt and had a lot less air in the map tank.

With my 240 I drilled out the inside diameter to get more fuel; it has made a huge difference in not picking up air into the fuel stream.
Just compare the Swiwin 14o weight to the 166Munts, and it's only 165 grams heavier, and one of my fellow Jet guys is running his with a 140 with no issues . It can be very fast, but that's what the throttle is for.
I was going to use the CMjet tank but will use the lighter-weight Carf tank, yours looks good.

Just was my friend Rebel, like you said, it fits great and is deceivingly significant at 3.6 liters.

[QUOTE=model1258;12781864]Do you use the small felt clunk the one carf supplies in your tanks, Dave?[/QUOTE
i actually use a clunk we had made in the U.K., same as CARF one, but bigger hole. If you are careful you can drill out the Tillotson one supplied, do it in steps to 3mm. Then it will work perfectly with the new Brushless pump on the P-130
