Default Voyager

This is my 3rd flight with mine..Kingtech210G4 and Frsky Horus and AR Smoothflite. Had a minor problem with flame out with the orginal tanksetup(3x2l bottles). so I made an own 6l from glassfiber.

I have mine at the backside of the wingtube maybe 3-5mm behind. All pilots I have contacted says that with full UAT and empty maintank you should push the fin down to the grund and when you let go it should slowly sit on the nosewheel. Mine is not slow it just pops down on the nose

Thanks for the info.

Altough I won't be using an UAT because of the bladder-type fuel cell, I'll also check in how "fast" it wil drop the nosewheel to the ground, after pushing down on the vertical.

Here you'll find my Dutch "build'-log:

Did someone put the Electron retracts on the Voyager? ER50 set B and what legs did you order?

Thanks.

Info I received directly from Electron Retracts:"The main wheels we use for the Voyager have a diameter of 115mm, and the nose has a diameter of 90mm.
I would recommend going with the GS-200 in any case. The price difference is very small, the GS-200 is only 1€ more expensive than the RS-200 with the programmer. You can turn ON and OFF the gyro assisted brake at your desire. If it works for you, great, if you feel that is not necessary, simply don't use it.
Regards, Adrián"

Just give Adrián an email, he will advice you which set...

Default Voyager landing settings

Hi,
Does anyone has the takeoff and landing settings in mm that work well for the voyager? (I'll fly the voyager with a k260).
- flaps takeoff in mm
- flaps landing (manual says 120mm) and amount of crow in mm
thanks,

So , I have no idea what problem has my jet , maybe wrong epoxy mixture or something, this jet is just new ride every time I want to fly, the last flight doing the Illini jets I panic and have a very bad fast landing and i over shoot the runway, so after the takeoff flaps and take off when back to flaps up my jet won’t go straight and waiting to roll again just like the first time when my alieron got cut and jammed, this time my flap doesn’t go full up level position, this cost me go full panic because there was two other jets in the air and I have a lots to do to make the jet stable, when trying to go my flaps down the jet wanted to roll the other dereliction because of the alieron trimming that make me even more panic because the pattern was to land from the very close trees and there’s no room to slowing down so i lended from the left to right with the wind and no flaps hot, so after landing and damaged the left landing gear I noticed that the flap has delimitation and bubbling shipped edge almost the full length of the flap and this blocked the flap to go under the skin, lucky me that the servo didn’t burn or cost power lose to the rx , but now I’m going to work on and hopefully the next time the jet will fly like it should.

I was considering a TopRC purchase until seeing the delamination issues above. No way now.

Never seen this problem with my friends jets and they at least 3 jets , the jet actually is a great flying jet, but maybe my has some epoxy mixture problem or maybe the color heats more than other lighter ones, I’m going to fix this problem and try it again .

I would widen my horizon for more info . . . otherwise you will never buy anything . . . . there will always be one example of a bad item . . . . .

if this isssue (what really is a problem!) is just 1% failure upon 100% build/sold models . . . it still is an issue . . . but not a general failure of any manufacturere . . . . I think :-)

Sorry to see, sorry for your model

What does TOPRC has to say about this quality problem??
Or does your dealer do anything for you ??

I'm curious how this issue will be answered . . .

If you don't claim warranty or make notification . . . . manufacturer will not be aware of quality issue . . . . and can't prevent more production problems . . . . . causing other disapointed buyers

If it was my Voyager . . . I would have informed TOPRC about this quality issue . . . and expect a fair reply from them

. . . just my thoughts

Same thing happened to my top Rc odyssey last year, my wing delaminated around the flap part.

I would agree, your paying a considerable amount money doesn't mean you should be on the hook for their poor workmanship and quality issues. Don't make their problem yours but at the very least they should be aware so that they improve future builds (assuming they care). Remember it's not an unreasonable ask, but I'm sure you will work it out with them. While I have not dealt with them directly I have heard they are reasonable.

Hello Sysiek, good to hear that action has been taken.

Of course it's a hazzle for claiming warranty, but if you spend money (no matter what amount) you may expect the value and quality you paid for. And flying around with a "doubtful specimen" . . .. it's better for your conscience and mindset, to you know that all parts are okay.

Good to hear your dealer is stepping in and helping you out. In my personal opinion . . . they should . . . Let us know how things turnout and if TOPRC is great and proud enough as well-respected company to provide you with a new set of wings.

Regards,
Rick

I’m pretty sure that the toprc is going to help me with this problem, I have talked to Mike from gator rc and the steps to make it work are taken, he is a great guy to deal with and I’m pretty sure that he is going to help me with this, the biggest problem at this moment is the shipping from China and cost of the container shipping .

Transportation costs have increased tremendously (Here Europe-China) and prices will seriously go up for all china imported models. I could still get the regular price for my toprc voyager (In stock). Our european dealer has already announced that prices will increase by 1000 euros which will bring prices a lot closer to european brands. So if issues persist on chinese models or are of lower quality I believe in a near future China will export less.
