Hi Dave,

I see, yes it make sense, at least for early flies, if all goes well then thinking about more attachment,

Maybe we do a test fly before paint

No, it will fly. Paint it as you wish and I’ll get it off the ground and back down again 😉

I’ll check the ailerons properly so I don’t have to reverse half my brain again 😃

Haha, I'll make this one taileron, with 4 flaps, so no chance you do test fly with revers aileron ,

Below my first jet, Dave did test fly & helped me to learn how to setup and fly jet , 15th October 2016,:

Default Canopy,

Hello Guys,

Little progress on finishing planking on top of fuse, and making canopy. Next step would be to cover the fuse with 25gram glass fibre. Once I finish, I'll use this canopy as a plug to make a mould, would be a challenge as it would be my first time to make a mould

Default Down thrust angle ?

Hello guys,

I'm thinking about down-thrust angle, as real one have, Any suggestion please?

Does down trust will help little with a heavy tail? I'm worried if I put Down Trust, it will change trim in low and high throttle !!! any suggestion please

Thanks,

The turbines need to have down angle to stop low pressure air below tailplane causing a climb. Small turbines/pipes will help with separation.

Thank you Dave,

As you mentioned, turbines are relatively small, and tail pipes are 56mm in Diameter too, So do you think about 2-3 degree would be okay? or more!!

More, but that looks like up thrust? Back of the pipe should point at the ground when on wheels

Yep, I just put the pips to show how small they look on tail, as round plywood is 120mm and tail pipe only 56mm. So, 5 degree? or I go up to 90 degree and fly vertical :-)

I have flown several F4's My current two have 5 degree down thrust on the pipes. I just used my Iphone level and got plane to 0 and taped a stick to the top of pipe at exit until I had phone at 5 degrees down. Then made screw in mount to hold pipe in place

Hello Kevin,

I'll go for 5 degree,

Assuming your F-4 is trim on 50% power, Does it then decline in full power? or nothing to be notice,

Default Vent on Ruder,

Little going on details, I made the vent& little detail on ruder,

F-4 has as many as details can pin me on my workshop forever, and I don't know how far I will go for details, but for sure I will do some of main details,
