Darn you, Rex, ya just had to show me, dintcha? And they're having a flash sale!! But what's with the truck body? I can only find the frame work version. Is that a body you added yourself or did you see it for sale?

And did you get the PM about calling ebay? Hope I didn't stick my nose in where it wasn't wanted. Just trying to help.

Ok, sorry, I found it. I think the truck version is a 1/10 model and is considerably more expensive, like in the $165 and up category. I'm going to order the one from gearbest, just for kicks (and of course because I want to grow up to be just like my Hero Rex!!)

The 4 cell 4.5V truck I got from Bangood works ok. The 5 cell 6v version I got from Gearbest ran about 10 feet with a fully charged battery and then the universal joint on the rear axle came apart. The front wheels won't drive at all and the tires are hard to turn manually -- I think that is why then drive shaft on the rear came apart. I hope my 2nd one I ordered from them will work ok. The steering servo only rotates the front tires a few degrees to the left and right, not nearly as much as the Bangood version. Also, I just hope the 6X6 I ordered works ok.

That photo with the truck body was what I saw and found the 6x6 frame photo in the same Google search. I don't know anything about the white truck body

that 6x6 has a motor on each axle, will be more toy grade, but should be pretty stout.

I like the way you think --- I'm going to hire you as my press secretary and media spokesman when I run for President.
I found out that was 1/10 too. I learned something new here today. I discovered I could paste a photo in the Google "search images" box and it would post photos of everything that looked like the thing in the photo. Wowie !!!

I really can't wait to see what you make out of the 1/18 6x6. I've been watching you make cool stuff for a few years now, and it just gets better. I bet you can't turn it into a gamma goat!

So what happened with the ebay truck? Did you see the message about how to trick them out of their phone number? I know you haven't seen the video because youtube says it's only been viewed once and that was me, so i'm wondering if the PM I sent you got lost in the ethernet.

That totally sucks. Too bad you couldn't send it here and we could start an international RC smugglin' ring. Hey, sounds like fun to me, but what the hell do I know? I'd probably try to build an RC boat to bring the trucks across the Detroit River to you. Hmmm, now that's an idea ...

I haven't contacted ebay yet, I didn't see your PM until now, thanks for the directions. The Post Office said they delivered it - tough luck, too bad, so sad. My B of A Visa said there was no obvious fraud here, maybe it just was stolen after delivery. I will try PayPal. This is getting to be more trouble than it is worth.

I can't tell you how many times I've checked tracking to see a package was delivered when i was at work, but when I got home - no package. Every time (about 4 or 5 all together over the last 5 years) I called the post office right away and it turned out my package was delivered to the wrong house, sometimes as much as a mile away. Obviously you didn't have that option since they didn't provide tracking, but if the USPS screws up that much on tracked packages, it makes me shudder to think about the untracked ones.

I still think you should call ebay. That's how you'll get your money back. Ebay almost always sides with the buyer in any dispute, and this time that's you.

So what do you guys think for an esc if I'm gonna upgrade? I'm seriously ignorant when it comes to speed controls, and this will be the first one I've bought. I'm looking at this one, but if you have a link to your favorite I'd appreciate seeing it.

You need an ESC with reverse. Most of the "airplane" ESCs won't have reverse. I was looking at this one:

Got mine, ripped it apart. They also screwed up on the size, it's too small to be 1/16 but oh well. Time to get a real ESC, servo and receiver in it!

You think it's too small? I was thinking the tires are too big to be 1/16.

A friend at another forum recommended these so I'm gonna give them a try.

It should be 1" or so taller than an Abrams to scale out properly and it's about 3/4" too narrow. I know HL scale isn't spot on but it's pretty close to accurate and regardless, the truck should be taller. Tire size is ok with me, I like the modified look.

Hitec HS55 servo and a Tekin B1R fit nicely in here! Just need to find one of my Spektrum micro receivers and I'll have this truck running today.

The truck I want to build, the Hanomag SS-100. Used, among other things, to haul the V-2.
