Looks really good, Greg. You need a driver. Are you going to make smoke come out of that fine-lookin' exhaust?

The GT Power is half the price of an ESS one and works really good both as a sound and light controller.

Here's one on ebay. I personally don't love the sound quality on these during full throttle, plus you still have to think of room for a speaker and wiring. ESS One is all in one unit, though no lights and more pricey.

That stack looks good, Greg. Too bad our little smokers don't have the power to make it flap!

That's an interesting unit, Bret, but kinda big and you're right, rather pricey. This one doesn't have lights but I haven't seen it till now so take a look and give an opinion? I imagine you need a programming cable made just for this unit, eh?

And I hadn't even thought about mud flaps! Doh!

I'm gonna try that same material I used for the flaps on the M16 halftrack. If it's wide enough. That's the hospital tourniquet I did the videos on, 'member?

That sucker is BIG! Speakers alone have twice the footprint of the newest ESS one. No you don't a cable for that one, (I've goofed with it as well) you just hit a button that cycles through the different crappy sounds.

Less than $3 delivered so I picked up a pair. I imagine they'll take at least three weeks to get here. Ordered them on Nov 5th. If they turn out to be usable I'll order a half dozen more pairs.

A while back I bought this light set made for RC cars for 12 or 14 bucks and thought about using it in the guard tower as a search light but then I moved ....

OK, is this too crazy?

I'm thinking about setting the truck up for FPV to drive using goggles, and this would mean night driving. I could make a light-bar that would also hold the mobius w/docking station and use that to not only get signal to the goggles, but take video at the same time.

I'm also considering using a mini cam mounted in the passenger seat and driving through goggles with the little pilot screen for guest viewing and that would be a mostly concealed system, but that means no FPV video, unless I just stick the mobius by itself (without the docking station) on the roof for video and drive through the minicam in the cab. Either way, I think these lights would provide enough light for FPV driving at night, and that might be cool. Makes me wish I still had Ansbach West (there ain't much that doesn't make me wish I still had Ansbach West) but I have a bunch of the buildings in the garage and I could set something up in the backyard. In the spring, anyway. For now I'd just practice in the basement.

fynsdad ----
Your M8 makes me wish the 6x6 was available 20 years ago --- along with the M35 bobbed deuce. I would have bought both of those r/c vehicles by the dozens for my scratch projects.
