I like the photo of the windshield, hood and driver ---- I will not be able to sleep tonight unless you tell me that you are going to install windshield wipers.
Everything else looks great!

Oooh new toys! Mine's on order, but not sure when I'll get my grubby little mits on it - I guess I can be expected to be bombarded with requests for the correct sized tires and rims for it pretty soon afterwards...

Anyway, latest news from the Truck plant:

The CCKW has finished printing, pictures to follow tomorrow.

Hi,

Coupe of photos of the 6x6 setup.

My RTR example, just arrived from China in good visual shape in a trashed box stuck in a plastic mail bag. Plenty of to loose suspension screws, nothing serious, do not know if it works yet?

You can find spare parts online with some searching, try here: https://www.aliexpress.com/category/200002649/parts-accessories.html?site=glo&g=y&pvId=200000626-200003227&attrRel=or&isrefine=y

John

6x6 set up.

If it is RTR, check that the screws are well fitted.

I could have sworn I had replied to this yesterday...

Anyway, thanks for the pictures John, it looks like the link between the rear axles is a little shorter than the standard one, but I don't think it will help me with the CCKW.

In other news - have I ever mentioned just how much I hate building plastic kits...? This thing has taken me way longer to build and measure than I had expected. Nearly there tho.

I ain't John but I just got mine ----- it came in a plastic bag, no sponge packing or bubble wrap ----- but no damage. I ordered it May 16 too. The wrapping had been cut open and resealed with clear tape. Nothing was missing. I had to sign for it. I'm glad I was home.

This will be a fun platform to work with, the basic 6x6 truck is neat.

I picked up mine today, but as I'm at a show all weekend I've not had chance to pull it all to bits yet...

I bought mine just because I didn't have one and it was only $50. I gotta check the dimensions for wheelbase and stuff before I figure out what to do next. After I charged the battery I was happily surprised to find out it was possible to run this critter slowly and creep across the floor. The proportional speed control trigger isn't spooky like the 4x4 models. The steering has 3 positions, fully left, fully right or center, no in between. Here are some photos of 6X6 vehicles that look like a fun scratch build to me.

The top picture is cool, but I like the T4. It has nice lines.

Default US Army M35 Series 2 1/2 Ton 6x6 Cargo Truck.

The RC toy 1/16 truck in paint. Working on a windshield and rear window, fitting is pain.

The M35 truck series was used by the United States Army in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

US Army M35 Series 2 1/2 Ton 6x6 Cargo Truck.

Cargo sourced from Spec Ops and Value Gear.

The M35 and the Tamiya Abrams M1A2.

Gearbest’s packaging was dismal, but my RTR 6x6 survived and delivered without damage. Seems any online order coming out of China has some risk, but for modest dollars, using PayPal, things went OK.

Disassembly of the RTR version is simple and clean. No glue, everything in the M35 6x6 is assembled with easy to remove screws.

Opinion. I think the 6x6 kit version isn’t all that helpful if one is planning to do further modeling from the basic toy and of course, it is a better bet all the important parts will be present when buying the 6x6 RTR.
