Nice combination of the WPL truck and the Bruder Low Loader Crius,
The only work I found necessary on the trailer was to remove Bruders strange coupling arrangement and drill a hole forward of that mount and fit an M4 shroud headed bolt (Inverted) to act as a proper King Pin,
The 5th wheel was an easy fit on the truck after dropping the axle and sliding out the rear chassis brace then sliding the 5th wheel in place and drilling into the chassis rails to locate the 5th wheel base then simply re-assemble everything.

WPL trucks are pretty well made depends on the price. I made a 1/16 scale rc tank trailer with the B36 model. I did reinforce the rare suspension for it.

I made my 1/16 trailer with the WPL B36. together with a Bruder trailer just like yours. I didn't customize all the electronics for the trailer though, I just disassemble a cheap RC trailer and glued all its parts on the Bruder trailer. lol
The max turning shut off happened to me as well. I remember it was the servo pushes wires on max turning angle inside the cabin make on of the headlight short-circuited. I rewired the LED, and it went away for me. If yours still shuts off on the max turning angle, I suggest you take a look at all the wiring inside.

The wiring is fine, it's the new board. The new board is set so that it will automatically shut down if you try to draw too much current. I'm not sure what the setting is but it's pretty light, and it shuts down pretty easy. Every time it does that, all I have to do is turn it off and back on again and everything is fine.

hmmm... guess it's becoz the motor and servo both working at max current the same time.

Found these trailers on Facebook:

The look pretty similar. Not sure what the difference is between them, but I know there are guys here that might like these.

Don't know if these have been mentioned, (search didn't turn up anything).
Looking at WPL's site, looks like they have a BM-21 Grad, based off the Ural, and some sort of 8x8 in the works.

The shadowy silhouette definitely looks like 4 sets of wheels touching the ground, and it would be a logical progression for them from here.
I have one of the B-36KM kits on the way. Can't wait.

Edit: Keep trying to add pics or a link but not enough posts.

I've upgraded the motor on my B16, and ran it around a little. The 370 35T motor is a night and day difference.

Nice!

I'm building a tractor out of one of those trucks too, and I want mine to do well in rough terrain. That motor upgrade looks like just what I will want in mine. Thanks for posting the movie.

I wonder if that would fit in a 2 speed transmission? I know the motor that comes with the two speed transmission is better than the stock motor, but I'm not sure if it will be as good as this one.

Yup, it is a 2 speed transmission! The stock motor 370 motor in the 2 speed was pretty weak by comparison. I'll get some more footage in the next few days.

This thread looks like it needs a kick.
How are others getting on with their trucks?

Been playing around myself with a Diamond T981, making it haul some ass aswell

Dual 370 motors drive thru own design transfer case and it runs 6x4 with pass thru axle. It can haul aswell

Nice and strong!

I think the ring gear is slipping on the middle axel on mine. It'll probably be on the bench next.
