Ordered mine on 9/20 and they keep changing the ship date on their site, had enough, cancelled and got refunded right away on PayPal. Waiting for the 6x6 and will order from E-bay or Bang good, those orders seem to be going out based on responses on this forum.

I'm in the same boat, no ship date from gearbest and it still says processing. They basically just did a preorder and lied when they said they had them in stock. They probably knew all along that they wouldn't have the trucks til late October.

Thanks for sharing Gary, that's awesome!

Slightly unrelated but how do you get YouTube clips to embed? It used to automatically do it but now just shows the link.

I'm disappointed...... none of you have a 1/16 scale diecast truck mounted to this yet. Or a bruder unimog cab.

I enter the youtube address in quick reply and then submit without going to advanced. Not sure why that works, and it doesn't always, as demonstrated above with the trailer video. Since they changed the software things are much more difficult here.

I just got an email from gearbest that says my truck has shipped. Strange tracking number that I can't find in a google search. Starts with IB. Any Ideas, Fellas?

And, another interesting conversion would be the Steyr 1500 and the Steyr 1500 truck:

I had the same idea and did a quick Google search for drawings for the Quad with limber and artillery piece. The wheel base for the Morris Quad is shorter than the M35 and the tires are too big, but it is a possible scratch build that is interesting to me. I have wanted to do one for years. I'm beginning to wish I had ordered 5 or 6 of this critter for other possible projects when it was originally offered. The idea to make interchangeable body types for the same frame is worth investigating. I did that for my Studebaker US6 and it worked out great.

HA! I received an email from them and mine has been shipped out today.

Now, who is USA Express? An expediter of some sort?

(nevermind... it's from China or somewhere close) 7-10 days from now? LOL!

I believe, given the simplicity of the HL 4x4 frame, shortening or lengthening would not be a major issue for most. And, the Morris Quad gun tractor had some limited use by the US in WWII as well as Common Wealth forces. And the body design could probably hind the battery pack well and still leave for good detail.

ChuckATruck is thinking outside the box... it didn't sink in 'till now but I forgot all about Bruder.

I need to run by a few of those discount/dollar stores that have toy soldiers and army trucks for a similar sized body. Too bad 21st Century went out of business.

I tracked mine and it says "information received" in GUANGDONG. Kind of like here when it says "label created". That's a huge pet peeve with me, when an ebay shipper creates a label and calls it shipped. There's a big difference between creating a label and shipping the item. I've had cases where it was almost a week after creating the label that the item finally got to the postal carrier.

But at least it's progress!

The suggestions on this forum about converting the M35 into another type of cab and body type has me interested. I did a Google search and think the Morris C8 FAT is going to be my first choice for a chassis conversion, and scratch building one or more interchangeable body types that were fitted to the real vehicle.

The first thing is to get the wheel base correct. The Morris Quad has a wheelbase about 1.5 scale feet shorter than the M35 model. That presents a problem with the rear drive shaft. I may end up with a model that only has a front wheel drive. I have started to experiment and hope my ideas work out.

Mine read GUANGDONG also and like 7 to 10 days to arrive (yeah, right). I thought that looked familiar so I looked at the eBay shipping wrap I saved and the label stated GuangZhou. LOL!! Sounds like the same outfit if you ask me.

Whatever. When they start arriving I guess we'll all Wang Chung 2-nite!

Rex- you could probably lower the motor and tranny to help your drive shaft angle. Maybe go rigid suspension and yoke to yoke. If you had to
