The aluminum spinner is not all that much heavier but yes it could affect your CG. What flight tests have you done so far in order to optimize the CG location?

I order direct from Tru Turn. Tell them what engine you have, prop size you are running and they will set you up with the right spinner and adapter. If you really want a red spinner they can sell you...

There is no plastic spinner that holds up well to a starter. Your best bet is to invest in a True Turn or Vortec aluminum spinner. You will also get the benifit of less vibration as well.
