only gets small fast if you fly it fast. A buddy of mine transitioned to the HOT from an hsd viper. No regrets. Heck, other than being more expensive than the viper, it's actually a better first...

I think the only rebel video I have out is my Pro, which is hardly overpowered - barely 1:1 at take off. And the video was a maiden flight. There only Rebel I've had long enough to fly hard is my...

mine, at 22.5lbs, with a 170, I had to listen to my timer beep on and off the whole flight - it's set to start/stop at 1/4 throttle! But imo, it's awesome! Nothing quite like accelerated vertical!

LOL. A pound or two variance for a 2m jet is not a big deal, but seven+ pounds? That's a little ridiculous. I know the site says 23-24lbs but I have yet to see reports of weights that low. Weight...

This is pretty much me, except only 35 years. Not sure what Dansy thinks is better than the Rebel. Ultra Flash? I have one. It's nice, too, but gets small fast because it's FAST.

hot water or a heat gun. I pretty much use festo tubing wherever a festo push fitting exists and Tygon whenever a standard barb exists in the plumbing that I can't get festo to slip over. I prefer...

Quality swing on the Odyssey is either OK, or pure junk. But it's an option. Flies pretty well. Got two at our club.

I third that! I had to dead stick mine in on the maiden flight. It was a total non event even half full of fuel it carried well and still slowed down fine.

I have an older friend at the field with one with a 140 in it and flies full throttle pretty much the whole flight. Anything bigger than a 140 I'd be careful.

And it's done, and light! 22-3/4lb with full uat. 170 will be happy cruising around at 1/3 throttle, and vertical will be INSANE! ...

I have an ultra Flash just for that. I don't intend my Rebel to be a turn n burn bird. I power my rebels for accelerated vertical. I also fly at a high density altitude so I tend to over power...

Agree on wanting more carbon fiber. Mine is going to be ridiculously over powered. If I didn't know how to manage throttle I could imagine the fuse folding up on itself if flown too fast.

Nice! Isn't it crazy how this jet is pretty much the same size as a T1, yet 6lbs lighter?

That might have been the pirotti version of the manual. And then a guy later in the thread, that I believe was involved with Pirotti, said it's the back of the tube, not front. I'd have to look...

That is significantly lighter than a T1, by an easy 6lbs. But heavier than my friend's, who had a KT160 in his and no added nose weight. He was actually same weight with a full uat. I'm surprised you...

With a 140 it will definitely not be anywhere near as fast as the UF. If you really push it with a 140 I'm sure you will approach the 200mph mark, though. It is no slouch with a 140. Built...
